Not your typical driving job.
Lavender Green is looking for a practical, hardworking Event Installation Crew Leader to join our team in Windsor.
One day you could be helping install a major wedding, the next working behind the scenes at a luxury hotel, sporting occasion or large corporate event.
You’ll help us prepare, transport, build, install and dismantle the flowers, props, plants and event pieces that bring our designs to life.
Yes, you’ll drive our 3.5t vehicles — but driving is only one part of the job.
This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys getting stuck in, working as part of a team and seeing the finished result of what they’ve helped create.
What you’ll be doing
You’ll:
- Prepare and load flowers, props and event equipment at our Windsor studio.
- Drive company vehicles to venues across London and the UK.
- Help build and install events alongside our florists and designers.
- Lead and support junior and agency installation crew on site.
- Work with venue and event teams to make sure everything is delivered properly.
- Return after events to dismantle and collect equipment.
- Help prepare the warehouse and equipment for upcoming jobs.
- Solve practical problems when plans inevitably change.
Who we’re looking for
- You don’t need to be a florist.
- In fact, we’d love to hear from people currently working in:
- events, removals, furniture installation, exhibitions, AV, hospitality logistics, marquees, warehousing or other practical hands-on roles.
- What matters most is that you’re:
- Practical and physically capable.
- Reliable and hardworking.
- Comfortable taking responsibility.
- Good with people.
- Calm under pressure.
- Proud of doing things properly.
- Happy working as part of a team.
- Comfortable leading others when required.
- You’ll also need a full UK driving licence and experience or confidence driving a 3.5t Luton van.
The reality of event work
Events aren’t always 9–5.
Our rota includes early mornings, late finishes and weekend work, so flexibility is important.
In return, the job has real variety. You’ll work behind the scenes at places and events most people only ever see as guests — and you’ll be able to stand back at the end of an installation and know you helped create it.
