Zankhana founded her independent pottery studio in East Sussex in 2021, specialising in handmade functional ceramics and bespoke commissions. She creates distinctive pieces for homes, cafés, restaurants and independent businesses, combining everyday practicality with thoughtful design.
Working in small batches, Zankhana focuses on simple forms and carefully considered details. She collaborates closely with clients to bring their ideas to life, creating everything from individual bespoke pieces to larger tableware collections.
Zankhana primarily works with stoneware clay, experimenting with slips and ceramic glazes to develop a variety of colours, textures and finishes. She shapes, glazes and fires each piece in her studio, giving every creation its own character and individuality.
