Watch Sophie Conran arrange her AT HOME flower delivery

Our amazing florists here at Lavender Green Flowers delivered three incredible boxes of bespoke AT HOME flowers to Sophie Conran, the founder of her eponymous homewares brand. Following a personal consultation with her florist, a variety of the freshest flowers were selected to ensure the colours and varieties of flowers were to her taste and complemented her home’s interiors. Sophie then set to work putting her creative touch on the arrangements, styling the delivered flowers.

 

Among the sensational flowers delivered to Sophie Conran were a selection of mostly pink and blue blooms, including sweet peas, hydrangeas, roses, pink calla lilies, mimosa and delphiniums, plus a little bit of fragrant foliage such as eucalyptus.

 

Sophie Conran used a selection of vases of different sizes from her own collection, many of which you can buy online. She then selected a vase or several vases to complement the style of flower arrangement she was making. It’s key to think about where you’re going to be placing the flower arrangements around your house when choosing vases, or even what occasion the floral display might be for.

 

To design a real showstopper of a flower arrangement, Sophie opted for a magnificent large urn and filled it with tall flowers including delphiniums and agapanthus, then fleshed it out with bright pink roses and hydrangea heads, along with some eucalyptus foliage.

 

 

For an instantly glamorous flower arrangement, Sophie used a beautiful silver vessel to create a compact floral display using hydrangea heads and roses of the same fabulous bright pink, along with foliage. She then added a touch of sparkle by placing tea lights in small vases around the silver vessel, which reflects the light beautifully.

 

Using two different sized apothecary vases, Sophie created something very simple but charming by placing one variety of flower or foliage in each vase. The look is light, relaxed and airy but still impactful.

 

A top tip for making your flowers go further and creating a stunning display is to twirl your flowers around a candle in a hurricane lamp with some foliage and a pillar candle. It’s very easy and simple but so effective at creating a special atmosphere. You can see how Sophie has achieved this in the video above.

 

And lastly, you don’t need to reserve all of your AT HOME flowers for public spaces. Sophie selected some of her favourite fragranced flowers and put together a pretty posy for her bedroom. When it comes to making something less structured, contrasting colours work particularly well together. Choose the best-smelling varieties and cut them short to place in a vintage-style vase or glass, which will look lovely on your bedside table or in a guest bedroom.
