September in Store

September sees us nicely in to my favourite season, Autumn. With the warm days and cool nights come the new views that are just everywhere we look. From the changing colours of leaves to the seasonal foods, not forgetting the home views too; with log fires, chunky knit blankets and out come the slippers from hibernation! I just love it.

I consider myself so fortunate to work amongst seasonal produce, it fascinates me, and our Chelsea based store is just the best place to be to witness natures show in all its glory. Everywhere you look in Chelsea, there are signs of Autumn, from the beautiful gardens to the tree lined streets and then there’s the roof top framed sunsets… heavenly. In store we always reflect seasonal change, and you are almost guaranteed to find crab apples, vibrant dahlias, burnt orange roses and later on, pumpkins! Complementing the floral offerings, we have home-wares ranging from scented candles and throws, to giant antique mirrors and one-off statement pieces of furniture. Its an oasis in the heart of busy London and I urge all of you to visit at least once during this fantastic season.

July saw our exciting coffee shop open up within the store, and blimey has it been a hit! All of our coffee is organic and responsible sourced, and the cakes we serve are not only delicious, but they cater for all dietary needs… we wanted it to be available for everyone to enjoy. We have found that local residents tend to pop in on their morning and evening dog walks (we LOVE it when dogs come to visit too), brides and their mothers (sisters, best friends and grooms if they’re lucky) pop in after dress appointments in the neighbouring dress boutiques and then there’s the gorgeous General Public who are completely unpredictable with timings, but really brighten up our day with their vibrant personalities and fascinating stories. Our ‘Blooming Baristas’ are enjoying every minute of this new venture, and we hope you all do too.

As always, this summer has seen some fabulous weddings, but in store we’ve been busy holding our consultations for next years weddings, which are already just as impressive! We have a private area for these, but can still offer ultimate discretion when needed, by closing the store for the duration of the consultation. Brides and Grooms love meeting in this space, it allows us to provide an immersive experience with samples in one hand and a great coffee in the other.
