Job Title: Event Crew – Driver
Location: Windsor
Are you seeking a role that seamlessly blends precision, artistry, and collaboration within a dynamic team? We’re currently seeking Event Crew – Drivers to join the Lavender Green team. In this role, you’ll have the exciting opportunity to meticulously deliver and install exquisite floral displays at some of the United Kingdom’s most prestigious venues and world heritage sites.
The position is full-time, requiring a minimum of 42.5 hours per week on a rotational basis. This schedule includes weekends (Saturdays and Sundays) as well as early morning and late-night shifts. Must have personal means of transport to commute to and from Windsor for early starts & late finishes.
The ideal candidate would have the following:
- Have a minimum of 1 years’ experience in the event industry
- A foundational understanding of floral design.
- Fluent in verbal and written English
- Confidence in both independent and collaborative work environments.
- A self-starter and good communicator
- Have a good knowledge of London by road would be an advantage
- Physical Capability to lift heavy loads
This role is incredibly diverse, ranging from installing weekly contract arrangements to orchestrating large-scale events and weddings. An integral part of the role is driving our fleet of company vehicles so experience driving 3.5t Luton vans is essential. You’ll need a clean driving license, no criminal convictions, and the right to live and work in the UK.
Requirements:
- At least 1 year’s experience in the event industry (or comparable role)
- A basic understanding of floral design
- Fluent in verbal and written English
- Confidence working both independently and as part of a team
- A self-starter and good communicator
- Physical capability to lift heavy loads
- Experience driving 3.5t Luton Vans
- The right to live & work in the UK
- Good knowledge of London’s road an advantage
- Drivers must be over 25 to comply with our insurance policies.
Compensation:
From £15.00 per hour, depending on experience level. Includes pension contributions and additional benefits
Work Schedule:
- Day and night shifts.
- Regular Monday to Friday work with overtime opportunities.
- Weekend work is a key component of this role.
Location Requirements:
Candidates should be able to commute to Windsor, Berkshire.
Key responsibilities:
- Packing items at the warehouse to ensure the safe delivery
- Loading and unloading adhering to Health and Safety regulations
- Delivery, installation and collection of floral arrangements to events with care and attention
- Ensuring the clients are always happy with your service
- General warehouse duties
- Perform tasks involving physical labour (capacity to lift heavy items, climbing, bending, working at height, and operating power tools)
- Maintain vehicles and equipment
- Follow quality service standards and comply with procedures, rules, and regulations
