Megan & Dan

Butley Priory

The initial brief for Megan & Dan’s three-day celebration at the stunning Butley Priory was simple enough – pink, pink and more pink! Together with the wonderful Senel Besim, we worked with the bride to create a vibrant yet elegant palette with a gradient from soft cream to delicate blush, baby pink to pops of deeper colour. The floral choices were made to match and complement the other shades of pink used throughout the day such as bridesmaid dresses, linen and menus to create a harmonious wedding, and a whole lot of pink!

We have had the pleasure of working in so many beautiful churches around the country and absolutely love designing the flowers that become the backdrop to the photos that live on your mantlepiece forever. The large doorway to St Mary’s in Woodbridge leant itself so naturally to large floral columns bursting with seasonal flowers such as Hydrangea, Peonies, Roses and Delphinium. Inside, we continued the natural English garden feel with growing meadows lining the aisle and leading up to overflowing urns to frame the ceremony. All of the flowers from the church were later moved and re-purposed at the reception venue meaning twice the impact!

Megan’s love of large, blousy flowers led the design for her bridal bouquet. Focussing around the season’s best – Coral Charm Peonies – we used textural elements such as Scabious, Lisianthus and Asparagus Fern to create movement throughout the bouquet resulting in a stunningly loose design which complemented both the dress and the venue perfectly.
