Alexia & David

Royal Hospital Chelsea

Alexia & David came to us asking for a loose, garden-like aesthetic inspired by the bride’s love of textured florals with plenty of character. We worked to a gorgeous late summer palette of whites, peaches and pinks with a touch of blue and incorporated a note of fragrance through the inclusion of Rosemary.

The whole wedding was about reflecting as much of Alexia & David as possible with touching tributes and memorial charms built into the bouquets, Maltese and French flags on the tables as a nod to their heritage and even a vodka ice luge! For the sun-soaked drinks reception in the Figure Couty, we provided a beautiful asymmetric urn for the bar and small hand-ties for the poseurs while the long dining tables in the Great Hall were adorned with meadow trays and candles for a soft and romantic finish. Tall Birch trees lined the outside of the room to bring the outside in – the perfect marriage of the natural and the traditional aspects of the venue.

What to say other than WOW. I honestly am so amazed- the flowers were STUNNING. Caps lock needed for emphasis about how stunning they were! I’m still processing how amazing they were. Walking into the Great Hall, honestly I was so taken aback by the beauty in the room. I knew they were going to be amazing but seeing it all together and the trees and the tablescape and my gosh, the table ends, no other words come to mind than stunning. It truly exceeded my expectations by tenfold. Also how good are those fake candles? I completely forgot they weren’t real, but they looked amazing. Also the lanterns on the octagon steps were so elegant, the simple impact that suited the space so well. Gosh I haven’t even mentioned the flowers on the bar, that urn was truly the most beautiful I have ever seen. And the bud flowers on the poseurs too, I thought they were going to be small but by gosh they weren’t at all and they had such impact, really beyond what I ever could have imaged.

The biggest thanks go to you for just being a complete dream to work with from start to finish, you made it all so easy and simple and I’m really astounded about the flowers on the day. I can only give my biggest thanks to you and the whole Lavender Green team- also big thank you to the lovely lady who’s name I didn’t catch who delivered the bouquets and buttonholes. She was a complete delight and couldn’t have been kinder or warmer, especially when I had a little emotional moment in seeing them all. Honestly so beautiful, both the moment and the bouquets.
