H&N approached us wanting to bring a whimsical, English garden feel into the setting of the iconic Natural History Museum. They were determined to have a wedding that was elegant and impressive, while being a little different and we worked closely with the wonderful Caroline Sian to achieve this.
In just over an hour and a half, the museum was transformed from a daytime visitor attraction to a jaw-dropping setting. A mixture of long and round tables gave movement and interest to the space while a circular bar in the middle of which stood giant paper poppies with florals growing around the base became the focal point for the evening reception.
The broken arch from the ceremony and growing meadows that lined the aisle were moved from Fossil Way to Hintze Hall in record time and were placed at the top of the majestic staircase, framing the string quartet that played throughout dinner, with delicate tealights running along the length, resembling starlight.
The tables themselves were filled with mixed height candles and gloriously airy designs of florals including Ammi Majus, Japanese Anemones, Roses, Scabious, Dahlias and Alchemilla Mollis. The statement features came from the tall tree-like designs in elegant fluted vases from which hung upside-down Roses which danced above guests’ heads as they dined.
H&Nโs beautiful wedding was a wonderful reminder of what can be achieved when a stellar group of suppliers work together to create magic.
