As florists, it’s always a pleasure dressing Hedsor House with flowers for a wedding. It’s such a special and impressive wedding venue and the stunning grounds surrounding the house make it the perfect setting for an outdoor summer wedding. Rada and Rohan couldn’t have asked for a better day for their wedding this June.
When choosing wedding flowers, we always tell the couple to think about the style and décor of the space they are getting married in. With the natural beauty of the venue already in place, Rada was interested in a slightly looser and more natural feel for her flowers but in a modern, architectural form rather than rustic.
With this in mind we kept the wedding party flowers neutral, using different types of Eucalyptus, Veronica, Peonies, Spray Roses and scented Sweet Peas. The only pop of colour was Rohan’s hot pink Rose buttonhole!
A copper square arch framed the ceremony outside, decorated loosely with different types of Eucalyptus foliage and white flowers, using a mix of Seasonal British flowers like Peonies, Stocks, Hydrangeas and Astilbe with splashes of pale pink Anthurium.
For the wedding breakfast, table centres consisted of mixed clear glass and copper beakers, each filled with one type of flower – Mothers Choice Peonies, Ivory Peonies, Stocks, Astilbe and Hydrangeas, placed on a round mirror – providing a slightly more contemporary feel.
