Job Title: Retail Florist
Location: London King’s Road Store
Located on the iconic Kings Road, Lavender Green is one of London’s largest florists. We provide flowers to a variety of venues and clients, each with unique styles. Therefore, we seek florists who are experienced and can think outside the box. This role requires not only floral expertise but also a creative individual with confident sales abilities.
We are looking for someone that wishes to be part of a team that together focus on providing unbeatable customer service and market leading floristry. We would require for you to be flexible and helpful in everything you do, ensuring that you look to always surpass a customer’s expectations.
Key responsibilities will include:
- As an integral part of the Lavender Green team, it’s your responsibility to represent the company well and you must do this through your work. The level of detail required to complete our work must be high as our clients expect the best.
- Ability to create designs to the desired standard fulfilling each client’s brief.
- Communicate effectively to ensure that each co-worker and your line manager are informed of any problems you may have which prevent you from providing top quality work.
- As you will be working independently as well as in a team it is imperative that you take responsibility for each design you may be working with and work hard to achieve the best results possible.
- Liaising with clients visiting the store and assist them with any questions they may have. We regularly have clients visiting the store and you may be asked to give small informal bouquet making classes or consultations.
We require the following from the successful candidate:
- A good knowledge of flowers and plants and their seasonality with the ability to price designs effectively and communicate your knowledge to our clients.
- Provide Excellent Customer Service to all clients.
- Check that the delivery of flowers matches the allocations on the delivery notes and email orders. All flowers to be conditioned and placed on the stand ready for to be used in designs or bouquets.
- Allocate flowers and foliage in accordance with the client specifications, ensuring all flowers are conditioned correctly allowing the maximum life of each stem and ensuring each design is completed on budget.
- Management of fresh flower stock rotation
- Ability to assist on site with events that require a florist to help install or collect an event. You will be informed of these occasions by your line manager.
- A clean UK Drivers license. You will be required to drive our works vehicle.
- Flexibility with working patterns. You will be required to work 2 Saturdays a month
Starting salary from £13.50 per hour.
