12 Jul AW16

Flash forward to Autumn/Winter 2016, and colour trends surrounding this. Some beautiful combinations, as seen in Vogue, will be featuring in our event flowers across the upcoming months.

Vibrant Yellows and Rich Chocolates can be used to create an autumnal twist on a bright summer look. Chocolate Cosmos come into season for a short time between October and December so this colour combination is perfect for that time of year. Suggest using these cosmos with yellow ranunculus, autumnal leaves and understated containers to ensure focus on the flowers.

Warm tones of russet and claret instantly signify the colder months. These similar, yet complimentary colours work wonderfully to create the temperateness that we so desire over the autumn. Dahlia are perfect to create depth within the floral arrangements, with cherry brandy roses lending themselves to both tones. Autumnal foliage naturally sits perfectly with this colour combination.

Contemporary designs of emerald greens and golds can be used to create modern arrangements. Tropical leaves and foliages in gold containers can be complimented with flashes of gold coloured succulents, taking a more minimalistic angle. Perfect for reminding us of those summer months.

Rich and deep tones of purple and navy together create a beautiful alternative on an autumnal classic. Look to using the turning of the autumn hydrangeas with pops of vibrant lisianthus to create this regal and jewelled look. For the ultimate in majestic looks, pair with silver or gold containers.

Love, Sophie.
