Ai Weiwei Exhibition

14 Sep Ai Weiwei Exhibition

After stunning audiences with his eery, yet meditatively calming Pumpkin Seed installation at the Tate, Ai WeiWei is looking again to enthral viewers with his new exhibition at the Royal Academy of Arts; and if the current installation in the courtyard is anything to go by, it will definitely adorn many an Instagram account!

Of course at first sight, his style doesn’t immediately translate through into Flowers, however we find inspiration through the use of harsh colours, structural silhouettes and ‘simple’ finishes. This then allows designs, especially given the season of the exhibition, to really come alive through the use of leafless branches, ombré autumnal foliage, with dashes of chrome, metal and copper to finish, allowing for all arrangements to compliment yet enhance the whole setting the exhibition will create at the Royal Academy.

Love, Alice.
